The 28 days, day by day.

Concrete tasks. Every day you do the thing, not read about the thing.

Week 1 · Days 1–7

Story + Faces

Nobody makes anything good without knowing whose story they're telling.

  1. ✦Day 1 — Pick ONE story. One logline, one sentence. If you can't say it in a breath, it's too big.
  2. ✦Day 2 — Name your lead and two side characters. What does each one want, and who do they fight with?
  3. ✦Day 3 — Write the cast locks: skin, wardrobe, the details that don't change. This is how your characters stop drifting between scenes.
  4. ✦Day 4 — Generate your first character portraits. Compare them side by side — same face twice or you start over.
  5. ✦Day 5 — Beat sheet for episode one: 3 acts, 5 beats, ends on a hook that makes somebody tap episode two.
  6. ✦Day 6 — Write your first dialogue scene. Characters talking to each other — no narrator, no voiceover, no shortcuts.
  7. ✦Day 7 — Generate your first clips. Ugly is fine. You're learning the tool, not premiering the show.

Week 2 · Days 8–14

Scenes + The Pipeline

Raw clips are ingredients. The pipeline is the kitchen.

  1. ✦Day 8 — Shoot scenes 1–3 for episode one. Keep dialogue short — people watch on their phones with the sound half on.
  2. ✦Day 9 — American urban cadence in every prompt. Your characters talk like Chester, not like a British period piece.
  3. ✦Day 10 — Run your first clips through the 9:16 finishing pipeline: scale, pad, captions layer, gold R bug, end card.
  4. ✦Day 11 — Fix what the pipeline exposes: wrong faces, drifted wardrobe, scenes that don't cut together.
  5. ✦Day 12 — Shoot scenes 4–6. Two scenes a day from here on out — this is the pace that ships.
  6. ✦Day 13 — Loudness-normalize your audio and re-mux with faststart so the video starts clean on a phone.
  7. ✦Day 14 — Rough cut of episode one. Watch it on your phone, start to finish, no skipping.

Week 3 · Days 15–21

Episodes + Captions + QA

If the captions are wrong, nobody believes the show.

  1. ✦Day 15 — Transcribe episode one with Whisper. Every word your characters said, written down.
  2. ✦Day 16 — Burn the captions in: gold, sized right for 9:16, no lines running off the frame.
  3. ✦Day 17 — QA gate day: resolution 1080x1920, audio clean, decode clean, captions readable, end card on the tail.
  4. ✦Day 18 — Fix every failure the QA gate found. Nothing ships with a red check.
  5. ✦Day 19 — Lock episode one. This is your premiere — treat it like it.
  6. ✦Day 20 — Start episode two's beat sheet. A show is a habit, not a moment.
  7. ✦Day 21 — Shoot episode two's first scenes. You're faster now — notice it.

Week 4 · Days 22–28

Premiere On The Network

A show nobody can watch isn't a show. Time to put it up.

  1. ✦Day 22 — Cut your hook-led promo short: 22–34 seconds, the best line of episode one, end on the hook.
  2. ✦Day 23 — Write your series page copy: title, logline, and why somebody should give you three minutes.
  3. ✦Day 24 — Premiere day. Episode one goes live on therascalsnetwork.com.
  4. ✦Day 25 — Post the promo short. One post a day — the Page, IG, your phone handles TikTok.
  5. ✦Day 26 — Finish episode two's clips and run them through the pipeline.
  6. ✦Day 27 — Captions, QA, lock episode two. The rhythm is the business now.
  7. ✦Day 28 — You're a creator with a show on a network. Tell people. Then go make episode three.
